Erica, You are right on about the writing helping as much as the practice itself. Thank you for your kind words--they really touched me and mean so much to me. Wishing you peace and hope in the New Year!

I am guessing that in addition to your practice of healing, that the practice of writing about healing is helping too... You are a beautiful writer and a wise soul. May your pain be lessened a little bit every so often...

Peace.

Thank you so much for reading and for sharing your experience with yoga. How wonderful to know that you are also healing the mind through this extraordinary practice. I'm so glad that you are remembering to put yoga front and center as you make your way through the stressors of work. Even ten minutes a day can make a significant difference, especially during this time of year, when we all need a little space and healing. Om shanti. Happy Holidays!

Thank you so much for this amazing post! I actually took up yoga just a few years ago, when going through the early stages of profound grieving myself, and am so glad that I followed that impulse. And more generally, I also find that one of the most important aspects for me is that it helps me quiet the inner chatter. For years, I had thought I should take up yoga for stretching purposes, to minimize the likelihood of running injuries and etc. And I *definitely* feel the benefit from having done that. But the much more significant gain has been mentally and emotionally, both on and off the mat. I tend to be very cerebral -- so it is interesting, as you say, that the better remedy tends NOT to be mental chatter and/or talk.

Thanks again for this post! I'm in the midst of a very anxious-making time work-wise at the moment, and this is a great reminder not to put yoga on the back burner no matter what!
